The North Leinster Schools Cross Country was held on Thursday 23rd January in the Phoenix Park, Dublin at the lovely setting beside the Papal Cross. Boys and Girls Secondary schools from North Leinster participated in the meet from Minor to Senior categories.
Scoile Mhuire girls Minor Team were placed 4th overall with the first 3 fastest to score. The Junior girls team got 1st Place. This was achieved by K. Cole (2nd place), S. Caulfied (6th) and E. Mooney (7th) who were the first 3 fastest from their team of 7. Over 90 athletes participated in the race. The Inter girls team were 3rd overall and the first 3 fastest were A. Costello (8th), K. Mulchrone (12th) and T. Stack (22nd). Both teams qualified for the Leinster Schools Cross Country Meet on 12th February in Santry Park, Dublin.
K. Cole, S. Caulfield and A. Costello were in the first 15 individuals in each of their category to qualify for the Leinster Schools Cross Country Meet.
Well done to all the other girls also who competed on the day.
